Insurance Claim

Many insurance companies operate “Approved Repairer” schemes. If your insurer runs such a scheme they may well advise directing your car to be repaired at their own Approved Repair Centre or ARC. Be aware though that not all ARCs carry the BSi Kitemark® and that the standard and quality may vary between repairers.

Although your insurer may recommend that you use their ARC, you are legally entitled to choose your preferred body repairer

There have been instances where insurers have told their policy holders that they cannot guarantee work undertaken at a non-approved bodyshop, or that entitlement to a courtesy car does not apply outside the approved network. We would like to reassure you that all body repair work undertaken at Bodytek Taunton Ltd  is covered by our 3 year guarantee and that we will always seek to help with your  transport arrangements wherever possible.

If your car has other damage that is not subject to the insurance claim it may work out cheaper to include it in the overall repair and pay privately for the uninsured damage.  Ask for details when you bring your car for an estimate.

Once an estimate has been completed we will send it to your insurer for authorisation. Upon authorisation we will make all the necessary arrangements for a convenient booking date.

Private Repair

In some circumstances it can be cheaper and easier to pay privately for a repair. If you decide to take this option you will receive a full and comprehensive estimate detailing the work to be undertaken, ensuring that your bill does not contain any nasty surprises!

In many walks of life it makes sense to shop around for a bargain and you may decide to obtain multiple quotes. Please be aware that lower prices often come with a compromise; Bodytek Taunton Ltd are BSI Kitemark® accredited and use only approved methods and high quality products on all repairs, without compromise.

Once you have made your decision to have Bodytek Taunton Ltd repair your car, simply call us with your vehicle details and we will make all the necessary arrangements for a convenient booking date.

Estimate charge for Company Car Drivers/Third Parties

Due to changes in the way insurance companies deal with estimates, they will no longer ask for multiple estimates as long as estimates are provided by a repairer with fully qualified Vehicle Damage Assessors and approved online estimating systems.

Because of work and cost incurred providing accurate insurance approved estimates, we regretfully inform these customers that we now have a nominal fee of £35+Vat for this service unless insurance claim details (insurance repairs) can be provided. In most cases following receipt of your claim details, we can deal with all aspects of the claim on your behalf saving you time.

This charge will be fully refundable on completion of repairs and must be paid prior to supply of any estimate.
